Basic Computer Literacy Training

It was just this morning that Kate and I have just finished the last session of the basic computer literacy training that we were conducting or facilitating for the company as a part of our on-the-job training. For the several days that we have facilitated the training, I learned a lot and I am so happy that it went out so well. There were diverse students who participated the training and 70% of the participants are on the age bracket of 30-50. I am so happy to see them very appreciative and thankful on what they are learning from us, I’m happy to see them learning despite the age.

Now, I realize that, technology today is not just for the younger ones or for the new generation but it could still be very useful to them especially if they are helping their children with their projects and assignments. Of course we all know that in looking for a job it is a very big advantage for one to at least do have basic knowledge on how to use basic Office Applications.

Since, as part of my plans after graduating is to teach first to a school while taking my masters degree, I think the one we just did was a very good background for me in applying for work. For a five non-consecutive days of training, we were able to teach them the basics about computer hardware and software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
